The system of choosing the beneficiaries has changed for 2019.

Each team can nominate a local registered charity which will receive a donation of at least £200 (subject to the teams income targets being met). If a team does not nominate a charity the donation will be made to The Festival’s chosen charity, The Cynthia Spencer Hospice. The Festival will also make a donation dependant upon how much in total is raised.


The remaining funds are divided equally amongst the four Rotary Clubs of Northampton which  organise the event. Each club had its own separate charity trust fund which funds the various charitable community events each club undertakes. See below for some of the activities funded by the Northampton Rotary Clubs.


The Rotary Club of Northampton Becket

We raise funds from our annual Santa Sleight collection which is a community event in itself.

We supported 22 local causes last year including.

5 Life Education Northamptonshire

Our International engagements have included
1 building classrooms for a school in Malawi.
2 Giving Classroom Boxes to many schools in Malawi.
3  Giving dictionaries to schools in Malawi and South Africa.
